Requirements and conditions for admission of mediators at VTIAC
1. Persons who meet the following criteria may act as mediators:
a. Having full civil act capacity as prescribed by the Civil Code; have good moral qualities, be reputable, independent, impartial and objective;
b. Having a university degree or higher and having worked in the field of study for 2 years or more;
c. Skilled in mediation, understanding of laws, business and commercial practices and related fields.
2. Persons who are currently the accused, defendants, people who are serving criminal sentences or have finished serving sentences but have not yet had their criminal records remitted; Persons who are being applied administrative handling measures sent to compulsory education institutions or compulsory detoxification establishments may not act as commercial mediators.
Procedures for admission of mediators
1. Candidates send an application for admission to the mediator with relevant documents to the Secretariat of the Center
2. The Secretariat reviews the criteria and conditions for admission of the mediator and submits it to the President of the Center, within 15 days from the date of receipt of the application and attached documents.
3. Within 10 days from the date of receiving the request of the Secretariat, the President of the Center shall consider and sign the decision to admit the arbitrator and notify the mediator.
